Community Legacy Fund

The Community Legacy Fund awards grants which will enhance and maintain the quality of Jewish life in the Greater Kansas City area, and respond to emergency need for Jewish communities around the world. Grants are not limited to Kansas City area organizations or Jewish organizations, but priority is given for programs that will provide a benefit to the Kansas City Jewish Community.

 

Community Legacy Fund Objectives

In an effort to have the greatest impact upon the Jewish community, the Community Legacy Fund maintains the following objectives:

To provide financial support for life-sustaining services in the fields of education, human services, health, community relations and cultural arts;
To improve the quality of Jewish life by providing financial support for seed programs which meet and identified community need, but cannot be embraced by the regular budget of the organizations;
To purchase capital equipment especially when it will significantly enhance an organizations general operations or the efficiency of a particular program;
To fund capital requests for Jewish community agencies.

 

The Community Legacy Fund will not make grants for the following:

General Fundraising campaigns
Dinners, annual meetings or special events
