B’nai Tzedek “Children of Justice”

What It Is...

The B’nai Tzedek program introduces B’nai Mitzvah students to tzedakah by allowing them to open their own philanthropic funds at the Foundation. This program teaches youth about the needs in the Jewish community and the organizations that help meet those needs. It empowers them to make a positive difference in the world.

How It Works...

Using a portion of his/her B’nai Mitzvah gifts, your child makes a minimum $125 donation to open a fund and the Foundation donates $375 to make a total fund of $500.

Every B'nai Tzedek earns investment interest for his/her fund
Every year participants can grant 10% of the fund to a Jewish organization either locally or in Israel
Anyone can add to the fund at any time
