Get to know Strategic Investment Group

The Trustees of the Jewish Community Foundation are pleased to introduce Strategic Investment Group (SIG) as the manager of our investment pools in the place of Hirtle Callaghan & Co. SIG, based in Arlington, VA, has $36 billion under management and was selected as part of a deliberate and thoughtful process conducted by the Foundation’s Investment Committee which is chaired by Jim Klein. SIG is structured to serve as our Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO), a model previously employed and endorsed whole-heartedly by the Investment Committee.
“All of us on the Investment Committee feel very good about the thoroughness of the process taken to reach this decision,” says Klein. “Among a number of very qualified and impressive OCIO firms, Strategic Investment Group had the most attractive combination of firm stability and focus, evolved investment process, and communication skills from the primary investment strategist to the main relationship contact. SIG is a great fit in terms of its flexibility in addressing our specific investment needs, especially as we begin to extend our breadth of donor investment options.”
