The Sarah Milgrim Fund has been established to honor Sarah's inspiring dedication to repairing the world. Goals of the fund include:
- Support causes that were important to Sarah: animals, the environment, pollution and climate change, peacebuilding in the Middle East, and diplomacy and bridgebuilding
- Provide opportunities to students which will allow them to further their education, participate in special projects and/or study abroad in areas important to Sarah as described above
- Continue Sarah’s legacy of peacebuilding, bridgebuilding and diplomacy to carry forward the sacred work of peace, justice and coexistence

Donations given to date:
- Operation Wild Life (OWL) - $1,000
- Furnish Hope DC (organization in DC that helps individuals and families get out of poverty; they were immensely helpful in cleaning out Sarah’s apartment in DC - $1,000
- Sarah’s Legacy Garden in Zikhron Yaakov, Israel - $2,500
- Annual donation to the Sarah Milgrim Justice in Action Scholarship to participant in JCRB|AJC programs for the purpose of participation in educational or experiential opportunity that deepens their work in justice-related work - $2,000
Anticipated Donations:
- Annual summer opportunity for a KU Hillel student to intern with Tech2Peace in Tel Aviv - $2,500 to cover stipend
- The Sarah Milgrim Memorial Scholarship to Advance Environmental Peacebuilding and Sustainability initiated by the Environmental Science Department and KU Endowment - $2,500 (goal is $25,000 – currently at $7,279)
- Jewish Vocational Services Global Table (supports refugee resettlement in the Kansas City area) - $600
- Event for KU Hillel in August or September to increase membership – amount to be determined
- Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, Israel – Brings together Palestinian, Jordanian, Israeli and international students to address environmental challenges with innovative peace-building solutions and ensure a sustainable future for the region. Sarah was interested in working here but there were no openings for her skillset when she finished her master’s degree in 2023. She met Dr. Tareq Abu Hamed, Executive Director, a few times when he was in DC. – amount to be determined
